Gratitude…

A few days ago I was contacted by a lovely new blogger, Autumn Accepts, and was asked to write a guest post for her. I liked this post so much that I want to share it with you all on this blog too, but if you could go check out Autumn’s blog too that would be amazing 🙂

Dear Autumn,

I had this whole idea of what I was going to talk about, it would be tragic and heart-warming and honestly it would have been an award-winning performance… But it would have been just that, a performance. You see, I write a lot about my past and all of it is true. From the sexual abuse, to the death of a friend, to the depression, to the anxiety I am still dealing with now. And I was going to write about that again. Until, for once in my life, I looked around me instead of looking over my shoulder.

And do you know what I saw? Well, I saw my bedroom walls to begin with. Painted dark brown, pretty cute right? Then I thought about everyone who doesn’t have that. Some people don’t have four walls, let alone four walls they can call theirs. Then I remembered the reason why my four walls are painted brown. That is because this was my brother’s room, and that dark brown was the result of countless pots of paint and hours of work by my parents. Then I remembered all the people who don’t have their family with them, or they don’t have parents that will drive to the paint shop three times just so their child can pick the perfect colour.

I looked to my left. I see books, and a whole lot of them at that! Overflowing, scruffy, and unorganised, but then I remembered the people who can’t afford to go to school, let alone those who can’t afford books. On top of the books I see a photo frame, the couple inside are awkward and dorky and it’s definitely not their best photo! But I am so grateful that I could be present in that moment, the first party my boyfriend took me to, the one where we drank a little bit too much and we danced badly but we were so in love. Then I remember all those people who can’t show their love, who fear walking down the street with their partner, who cannot get married because a deceitful government says it is immoral.

I looked to my right. I see a window, looking out upon the beautiful English countryside. Okay, my window actually looks out onto a carpark. But then I think about all the people whose windows are wrongfully blocked with bars, the people whose only crimes are standing up for equality, or falling in love.

Lastly, I look right ahead of me. And I see the World. I see all the information known to man, I see my friends who live thousands of miles away, I see infinite opportunities. Then I think of all the people who cannot afford computers, or those whose corrupt governments say that the internet will corrupt their minds.

As I look around I think of how lucky I am to be here, and how lucky I am to have the support of family and friends to help me. Maybe today you could take a look around and, just for one day, think about all the things you are grateful for.

Thank you for reading,

Amy

The Sunshine Award!

I want to apologise that it took me so long to do this award post, and also for how long this post will be because I’ve been nominated by four different bloggers!

Here’s the rules:

Questions from Handbook 4 Teens…

  1. What is the hardest thing about being a teen? I think it’s the pressure on us. People tell us to have fun, to live, and to make mistakes… yet they also tell us to be responsible, to be grown up, and to make decisions that will effect us for the rest of our lives! That’s pretty tough.
  2. Do you know how to meditate? Yes. I learnt when I went to therapy. I know a lot of people find therapy relaxing and that’s great, but for me it was awful. It just made me think of all the problems and responsibilities I had and so I started running instead and I love it!
  3. What do you do to relieve stress? I run. Slowly, but I’m still lapping the people who are sitting on their sofa’s watching TV. I also go talk to my friends or my boyfriend and that helps massively.
  4. Do you believe people when they say you can achieve your dreams or do you think it’s BS? I don’t think anyone’s really told me that I can or cannot achieve my dreams. I don’t ever ask. I can do anything I want to, and there’s nothing anyone can say to me to make me think otherwise.
  5.  Apple or Android? Android, and that’s just because I own more Samsung products than Apple.
  6. What would you do if you knew you couldn’t fail? I would research and make the cure for dementia and Alzheimer’s. That’s the direction I want to take my career and it would be incredible to help improve and save so many people’s lives.
  7. If you had 1 hour in mall where you could pick out anything you wanted, no matter what the price, what would you buy? Can I buy everything? Because that would be awesome! But if I had to buy specifics I would buy lots more Converse because at the moment I only have 3 pairs of shoes, and my pair of Converse are the only ones I wear so it would be nice to have a few more of them 🙂
  8. Chocolate or vanilla? Vanilla. 100%. I’m not actually a massive fan of chocolate, but I love the smell and taste of vanilla…mmmm 😛
  9. What scares you? Lots of things scare me: dentists, big crowds, public speaking, new people and places, panic attacks, spiders, scary movies, embarrassment, losing friends and family, and death.
  10. What song are you currently obsessed with? A good friend of mine showed me this cover of the Game of Thrones theme song and I love it!
  11. If you could choose a superpower what would it be and why? The ability to control time. How awesome would that be?! I could go back or forward in time, and I could get myself out of a lot of awkward situations!

Questions from New Romantics…

  1. What was the weirdest dream you’ve ever had? Oh gosh, I have several dreams a night and almost all of them are really weird! I thought it was normal to have two or three dreams a night, but apparently not! Since there’s been so many I’ll tell you about the most recent one I had last night. I dreamt that I was at Hogwarts and that I was in that part where Harry’s arm gets broken (well, sort of) and his arm is all floppy. But I also had a disco that night so I was dancing with a floppy arm, almost like this!
  2. Who was on your last call log? My boyfriend, Kyle 🙂
  3. Do you believe in God? No. I have hope that there is Something after we die, but I don’t believe in a God.
  4. Do you believe in love at first site? I love romance, but no I don’t believe in this. How can you love someone the first time you see them? Surely you’re just basing your opinions of that person on their looks, and that’s not love. Love takes time and shouldn’t be based solely on what someone looks like.
  5. What was the book you regretted reading? I was given a book by one of my mum’s work mates, The Road Home by Rose Tremain, and it was awful! It was dirty, had a rubbish storyline, and a main character that was pathetic and annoying.
  6. Would you prefer going to school or being home schooled? Hmm, my school was awful. It was known for its bad behaviour, bad grades, and bad teachers. But I made good friends there and it got me to where I wanted to be, so I guess I would still want to go to school rather than be home schooled.
  7. What is the food you could eat forever and not get tired of it? Sweet and salty popcorn…mmmm!
  8. Would you get a tattoo? I think tattoos can be so beautiful! But I am so indecisive, I could never decide on something to be on my body for the rest of my life.
  9. What is the song stuck in your head right now? I have about 100 songs stuck in my head right now! But one of them is Teenagers by My Chemical Romance.
  10. Do you believe in horoscopes? I love reading them, but take no notice of them. They’re so vague and I’m so cynical, so no I don’t believe them.

Questions from Jamerly…

  1. If you could see anyone for the rest of your life, who would it be? My boyfriend. (Sorry, you guys must get sick of hearing about him!!) In case you haven’t read any of my posts, he’s a sweetheart 🙂
  2. What got you into writing? I wanted to spread positivity and to help others, so if anyone of you need a cheap therapist I’m here for you 🙂
  3. Why do you keep writing? Because of my lovely blogging family! All the support and love I get from you guys is what keeps me going.
  4. What is one item you remember when someone says “childhood” and why? The BFG by Roald Dahl. I was the first person in my class to learn how to read and my childhood was filled with books, but this was always my favourite and I still have my copy in my room.
  5. What song defines your life at the moment? I love so many songs at the moment. My friend sent me this song this morning though and I think it’s something everyone should watch/hear.
  6. If you could be another person (besides yourself) who would you be? I’d be Jennifer Lawrence, she just seems really cool and down to Earth.
  7. What is your perfect date? Stargazing. I love the stars, and I would love it if my boyfriend organised a stargazing date for us! (If you’re reading this Kyle, take note!)
  8. What is your favourite day? My favourite day was the day I met my boyfriend, it was perfect! And also when I got my scholarship for University, that was an amazing day too!
  9. If you could only say one more sentence to your mum, what would it be? “I love you” would probably be a good start. “You’re an amazing mum, you’re beautiful, and you need to remember to take care of yourself.”.
  10. How do you feel right now? I feel kind of nervous today because I had to go to the dentist this morning which is terrifying for me, but I didn’t cry or have a panic attack and they said my teeth were in good condition, yay! Also, I should find out tomorrow exactly what I’ve got to do to keep my scholarship, and I should find out whether I’ve got a flat on my University campus which I’m a bit nervous about too.
  11. How do you wish to feel tomorrow? Hopefully I’ll feel more relaxed and happy because I’ll know more about my University scholarship and accommodation.

Questions from A Teenage Diary Online…

  1. Do you have a favourite band? If I had to pick one it would be Fall Out Boy, because there’s very rarely a band where I love every single one of their songs but with FOB I haven’t found a song of theirs I don’t like.
  2. Who is your favourite YouTuber? I don’t actually spend a lot of time on YouTube, but if I had to pick one it would be Danisnotonfire just because he’s as awkward and dorky as I am!
  3. If you could go to one fictional world where would it be? I would love to go to the world of Adventure Time, ugh sorry that’s so dorky! But it’s true, that would be awesome!
  4. What’s your favourite shoe brand? Converse! They look awesome, they’re comfy, and you can run away in them if you need to. Perfect!
  5. Can you play any musical instruments? Nope, not a single one 😦 I have no coordination so every instrument I’ve tried to play I have failed at. I just think my brain is more technically wired.
  6. What’s your favourite animal? Giraffes! They’re so tall and they’re so loving. I managed to convince a zookeeper at my local zoo to let me feed the giraffes and it was amazing! I had no idea how I managed to convince him, but I got some awesome photos of me feeding baby giraffes 🙂
  7. Have you ever experienced the “crazy naked guy”? Pfftt, I took that guy down! My friend and I threatened to call the police on him, and he shut down his account. You’re welcome 😛
  8. If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be? This Song Saved My Life, by Simple Plan. Just because it means so much to me.
  9. What is the most prized possession you own? But… I love all my things. I collect a lot of things and have tons of “memory boxes”, scrapbooks, and I form an attachment to pretty much everything in my room. If I had to pick one thing it would be my first ever scrapbook that I made where I recorded everything important I did from the age of 11-12 and it’s really sweet to look back on it 🙂
  10. What’s your favourite season? Winter, definitely. I can bundle up in big coats and scarves and look all cute and cuddly, and you get Halloween and Christmas, and I love snow 🙂
  11. What do you look for in a guy? I have to admit I do love blue eyes, and I think glasses are so cute! But I also love a sense of humour, I love romance, and I love a guy who is good around kids, someone that’s hardworking is nice, and I love it when a guy is proud to have you as a girlfriend 🙂 (Oh and they have to be really bad at rollerskating so I can show off :P)

Harassment on WordPress.

Yesterday I wrote a post called The British Tag, which was just a jokey post where I answer questions about my Britishness. I never thought it would lead to me be harassed.

A few minutes after I’d published my post it was rebogged. Yay! Right? So I clicked on the site who had reblogged it and that’s where I saw that the only other posts this person had were pictures of his penis and posts asking people, specifically young British teens, to text him. This made me really uncomfortable, and I didn’t want my post being linked to someone like this. I commented on the post and asked him why he posted it, and if he could take it down, and that he needs to label his content as mature because anyone could visit his site.

He then apologised, and I thought that would be the end of it. Until he sent me three comments in a row asking what I thought of his pictures, and whether I’d be impressed. I felt disgusted. I was Skyping my friend, Zack, at the time and I asked him what to do. He helped me message the guy back and basically we told him to stop. But in the time we had replied to his comment, he had already sent me four more and all of them were asking about my friends and whether my friends were girls and if I knew any teenage girls. At this point I reported him.

I reported him for a few reasons:

  1. He kept sending me explicit messages/comments on my posts. I won’t post them here but seriously, it was actually disgusting and very threatening.
  2. His blog was not labelled as mature, so anyone could go on it without verifying their age.
  3. He had no idea how old I was. I could have been a 10 year old girl for all he knew, and to send me messages asking for me to send/receive explicit images was not okay because although I am a big girl and I can handle it, there are young children on this site and they could be put in upsetting situations through this.
I am so glad I had my friend to talk me through this, because the whole situation made me feel really uncomfortable and upset. Many of you know I have had a rough past with things like this, and I have been sexually abused before. Although this was nowhere near as upsetting as my past, it still really affected me.
In the end I messaged the guy and I told him that if he didn’t stop messaging me/commenting on my posts, I would call the police, and since he had conveniently left his mobile number on the site it wouldn’t be too hard to find him. A few minutes later Zack let me know that the guy had deleted his account! We won!
However, there are still countless blogs and websites and people out there that are encouraging young people to put themselves in sexually compromising situations. So please, if any of you reading this have had something similar, or has friends who are in a similar situation, go tell someone. It doesn’t matter if it’s a teacher, friend, doctor, therapist, parent, or a trusted family member. Or come tell me! Because although this story had a happy ending, I know that is very rarely the case. You do not have to do anything you are not comfortable with, and if anyone says anything or does anything that makes you feel uncomfortable that is not okay. You do not have to put up with it. Even if you have had a relationship with that person, or if you are currently in a relationship with that person, or if that person is someone you trust, you still do not have to do something that makes you feel upset. And if any of you want to speak to me about this, or anything else that’s bothering you, my door (or should I say my inbox) is always open.
Thank you for reading.

Blogger Recognition Award and a HUGE thank you!

image001

Excuse me, WordPress? What do you think you’re doing?

Before I start my award post, I’d like to address an incident that occurred a couple of days ago. Do you see the picture above? I had what WordPress called “A spike” and it’s all thanks to this wonderful man here. I wrote a post, inspired by a post he had previously written, and you can see my post here and this man posted it to his Facebook page which you can see here. Within hours my view counter shot up from about 100 views (which is roughly what I aim for each day) to 200, then to 300, and it didn’t stop! It felt amazing to know that not only was I spreading awareness of anxiety, but so many lovely people commented and messaged me saying they’re going through the same thing and to know that I’m not alone in this was wonderful. And since writing this, my post has been seen over 1200 times!! Thank you again Chris, and thank you to everyone who read my post!

Now onto another huge thank you…

Thank you to Brighton Bipolar for the Blogger Recognition Award!

Here’s the rules:

  • Select 15 other blogs you want to give the award to. Do some digging if you must! Find those blogs. You cannot nominate yourself or the person who has nominated you. Oh gosh, there are so many bloggers who have made me feel so welcome here and who inspire me but I’ve got to narrow it down to 15, so here goes…
  1. Aiden
  2. 21 And Sensory
  3. A Little Daydreamer
  4. Sophie Speaks Up
  5. Jasmine Honey Adams
  6. Three Hands One Heart
  7. Daydreamer 52
  8. Mon
  9. Luna
  10. Drifting Lexi
  11. Sheetal
  12. A Teenage Diary Online
  13. Everything And Nothing
  14. The Crazy Perfectionist
  15. Elm
  • Write a post to show off your award! Give a brief story of how your blog got started, and give a piece or two of advice to new bloggers. Thank whoever nominated you, and provide a link to their blog. List who you’ve nominated in the post. Make sure to also attach the award itself! (You can do this by right-clicking, saving, and uploading the image above).

How did my blog start?

My blog started because I was an invisible 17 year old girl. I had so many thoughts and opinions and ideas, but no one to listen to them. So I started talking to myself on here…And nothing happened. Nobody liked my posts or commented and  felt so defeated, and then lightning struck! People started to listen to me and it was such an incredible feeling that since I started, my blog has been viewed nearly 7000 times! So thank you, you all truly do mean the world to me.

My advice:

I’m still a complete newbie at this, I’ve only been blogging for 3 months! However, if I had to give some pieces of advice this would be it:

Network. Go like, follow, and comment on amazing blogs! Not only will you get to read some interesting posts, you’ll be making fellow bloggers happy, and it’ll help bring people to your site if they see you as a genuinely supportive person.

Write about what you love. We can tell if a blogger is passionate about what they write, and if you show emotion in your posts it just makes for a more interesting and engaging read.

Don’t blog for fame. There are millions (possibly billions) of blogs out there. The chances your blog will give you any kind of fortune or fame is slim. Blog because it makes you happy, because it’s cheaper than a therapist, because you love to write, because you get to talk to amazing people, because you have a story that just has to be told.

  • Comment on each blog and let them know you’ve nominated them. Provide a link to the award post you created if you want.
  •  Provide a link to the original post on Edge of Night . That way, anyone can find the original guidelines and post if needed, and we can keep it from mutating and becoming confusing!

Thank you again for everything, you all mean so much to me 🙂

Thank You.

I woke up this morning and I checked my emails as I usually do and there you were. My internet family, giving me more love and kind words than I could have dreamed of. Thank you. Thank you to everyone who liked and commented on my previous post. I’m not going to lie, I needed you. I’m sorry I’m not going to reply to your comments directly because it’s too overwhelming. I’ve never had support like this. Ever. All my friends and family and even my boyfriend are going through to much, whether that’s mental health issues, financial struggles, work etc. I don’t blame them but sometimes it feels as though they’re too busy with their own lives to worry about mine. I’ve always been the sort of person that people go to for advice, the one whose the adult, the one who stands strong in a crisis. I love it. But that’s a lot of pressure on an 18 year old girl who has only been legally allowed to drink for the past 9 days.

So I’m going to thank those who have supported me here, and I hope that’s okay. These are the people who sent me lovely comments, sorry I was going to thank everyone who liked my post as well but there are too many of you it would take me ages!

The Award For Best Blogging Family Goes To….

  • Ruined All The Right Ways – It can be a lot sometimes, but it’s just something I have to do and I think everyone has things they have to worry about. Thank you for your comment though, and I’m glad we worked it out too 🙂
  • The Introvert – Thank you, sometimes it doesn’t feel that way but it’s definitely nice to hear it 🙂
  • My Darkest Places – Thank you, it’s so nice to be called inspirational! And you most definitely are brave for writing about your experiences (and you’re an awesome guest writer) 🙂
  • Three Hands One Heart – Thank you, you and your son are such sweethearts 🙂
  • Bear Next Door – Thank you, it’s so sweet of you and I hope I haven’t let you all down, although last night it did feel that way.
  • Waffle Me This – Thank you so much, it’s so nice to know you’re there if I need to chat 🙂
  • Phae Merveille – Thank you, waking up to someone telling you you’re amazing is definitely a nice feeling! I’m glad, in a way, that I have so much responsibility because it has helped me be who I am today. And I hope I go on to accomplish a lot!
  • Kelsee – Thank you. Just remember you can always come talk to me if things get too tough. You’re right, we’re both human and we’re entitled to have off days, but we both have to get up and brush ourselves off and try again 🙂
  • Everything And Nothing – You’ve always been there for me. Every single time. So thank you. And you’re so right, the few bad days I have does not define my wonderful life 🙂
  • Ciara Cakes – Thank you, it’s so nice to know I can talk to you if I need to. Your comment made me so happy. Just, everything you said was so kind and just knowing someone out there thinks I’m a strong person and brave is wonderful. And it’s okay, my boyfriend shouldn’t yell at me. I’m not making excuses for him, because what he did was wrong and he knows that, but he does have autism and so when he’s upset he can have panic moments. However, he’s never yelled at me like that during our whole relationship, which I think made the situation 10 times worse because he’s usually so sweet and quiet. But don’t worry, I made sure he knows how much trouble he’s in and this morning I woke up to a bottle of pink lemonade next to my bed (that’s my favourite drink) so he definitely knows he’s in trouble! In our relationship we’re very quick to forgive each other but we let each other know that what happened was not okay and it’s not going to happen again. *Blows kisses back*
  • Pajama Reader – I wish I could give you a giant hug! Waking up to someone telling you you’re beautiful, strong, AND amazing! Now that’s how to live life 🙂 Thank you.
  • Idiosyncratic Thoughts – You’re right, I can’t be perfect all the time. (Just most of the time :P) Thank you.
  • Luna – You’ve just always been there. Every time something goes right you seem to be there congratulating me, then every time something goes wrong you’re there cheering me up. Thank you. I will admit, your comment made me cry. You remembered Josh. You truly don’t understand how much that makes me so happy that he’s still remembered. So you get an extra thank you for that 🙂
  • Mon – It feels like you’ve been there for me right from the start! Thank you. Blogging definitely helps, and if you ever need to chat I’m here 🙂
  • Life Of A Dropout – Thank you. You’re right, everyone makes mistakes once in a while. I just gotta move on 🙂
  • Lost To The Dark – Thank you. I definitely feel like I have a lot on right now!! But I think a lot of people do. I really appreciate your comment, it’s nice to know I can come talk to you if I need to 🙂
  • Lost In The World Of Blogging – You think I’m inspirational? Thank you 🙂
  • Drifting Lexi – Again, you are a blogger who constantly seems to be spreading the love. Your positive attitude amazes me, please never change 🙂
  • Amb – Thank you. Your comment was so sweet, it made me smile 🙂
  • Under The Guise Of Glitter– Please don’t apologise to me!! You are going through so much lately, and I haven’t been there for you like I should have been. I really hope everything works out for you because you are such a kind and sweet lady with two beautiful (and lucky!) children 🙂
  • My Teenage Madness – Woah thank you. Seriously your comment made me smile so much! I have so much respect for you too, and I hope you’re having a brilliant day wherever you are 🙂
  • I Prefer Deep Blues And Sea Foam Greens – Thank you. I know you’re not having the easiest time right now, so it means a lot that you’re giving me support. I’m sending you a giant hug!

I hope it’s okay I replied and thanked you all this way, I just didn’t feel like I could thank you enough in the comments. I just want to let you all know I’m happy, I’m okay and I’m drinking a cup of tea right now so I think things are going to be just fine 🙂

Allergic To ‘E’ Challenge!

Out of all the challenges I’ve done this is the only one that has actually been a huge challenge! So thank you Elm, Alison, Asil, Alaska, Kedslover, Oh So Dani and Idiosyncratic Thoughts for driving me crazy!

Here’s the rules

  • Link to the person who nominated you and thank them. Thank you!!
  • Write a paragraph without using the letter ‘E’.

In a land far, far away a young girl sat on a mountain of pillows. Laptop in hand, a cup of British Drink (sorry!) on my windowsill, Miss Amy fought to form a paragraph.

Now I’m angry. Do you know how hard this is?! Do you?! My brain is invalid now. That word is stupid. This is stupid. I am through with this!

  • Nominate 5 other bloggers. Hahahaha, my turn!
  1. Through The Looking Glass
  2. Lion Tamer
  3. Claiiiresss
  4. Pink Pear Bear
  5. Invoke Delight

Thank you for reading!

Sunshine Blogger Award!

Thank you so much Mon and Invoke Delight for nominating me for this award, please go check out their blogs because they’re fabulous 🙂

Here’s the rules

  • Thank the people/person who nominated you. Thank you so much!
  • Answer the questions from your nominators.

Mon’s Questions

  1. What are your views about my blog? It sucks. Just kidding! It’s fabulous!
  2. Who do you consider your blogging twin? I think if I could chose to have anyone as my twin I’d have Sheetal, even though we live 5000 miles away and we look the complete opposite, I think it would be awesome to have her as a sister 🙂
  3. What is your favorite book? This is an impossible question!! I love so many books, one of my favourites is Wonder by R.J Palacio.
  4. What is a song that is inspirational to you? This Song Saved My Life. I’ve told this story a few times, but for my newer bloggers… One day I was very, very upset. I still had depression and had just self harmed very badly. My boyfriend walked into my room and found me and he played me this song. He’s autistic so it can be difficult for him to tell me how he feels, but he told me that I’m the reason he’s so happy now. This was the changing point in my life and from that point on I stopped self harming, and with his help, I started to love myself.
  5. Which blogger’s posts can you never miss? Sophie Speaks Up. One post can have me genuinely laughing out loud, another can have me nodding in agreement, and another can have me in tears. I love it!
  6. What is your favourite quote? “You’re braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think”- Winnie The Pooh
  7. What is one way we can be a kinder person? I think we could listen to each other a bit more. I think we live in a world where everyone is just waiting until they can speak, without actually listening to what others are saying.
  8. One writing trick that you use? I find I write all my best posts with a cup of tea in my hand. Screw that actually, I write ALL my blog posts with a cup of tea in my hand 😛

Invoke Delight’s Questions

  1. Unicorn or dragon? Unicorn. How majestic would I look on a unicorn?! Plus, I think people underestimate how badass unicorns can be, so if people mess with me I could totally fight them with my awesome unicorn.
  2. Really? Yes. I thought very seriously about this.
  3. When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? I’ve genuinely wanted to be a scientist for as long as I could remember. But alongside that dream I have wanted to be: a florist, an author, a journalist, and a lawyer. I don’t see any reason why I can’t be a scientist AND a florist!
  4. Marmite or Vegemite? What Hell on Earth is Vegimite? Marmite is bad enough, why on Earth did they make something called Vegemite?! This offends me on a personal level!
  5. Where would you like most to go on holiday, and what would you do when you got there? I would love to go to New York. It’s the complete opposite to where I live and it just seems so exciting and busy! I would just go shopping and explore 🙂
  6. If you could go to space (but never come back) would you do it? Oh my gosh. This is one of the hardest questions I’ve ever been asked! I think that if my boyfriend and certain family and friends went to space then yes I would. I’ve always been fascinated with space and the stars, and it is one of my biggest dreams to go to space.
  7. Where’s the most random place you’ve ever slept? Outside of an abandoned house in Scotland when I was 10. My family went camping in Scotland and we had no money whatsoever, but that was probably the most amazing holiday I’ve ever been on. I never realised we had no money and my parents made it into one big adventure, it was brilliant! We swum under a waterfall, and we found this really cool abandoned house and we pretended we were Ghostbusters. Then we pitched up a tent in the garden and we roasted marshmallows together 🙂
  8. If you could build a secret passageway in your current home, where would it go and how would it get there? I would have a passageway to an underground library where all my favourite books are, and there will be a big fireplace and a massive sofa and lots of pillows. And to get there I would open my favourite book, The Fault In Our Stars, and say “Okay” into it then it would reply with “Okay” and would open a door to my library.
  9. If you could be anything you wanted to be, what would you be? I’m quite happy being me 🙂
  10. There’s a fire in your house, you only have time to take one thing out, what would you take? My memory box. It’s got all my random junk that I’ve collected over the years like movie tickets and photos. It would be heartbreaking if I lost that.
  11. Where do you see yourself in 5 years’ time (like, really, not the ‘fake answers’ people are coached into saying for interviews)? In five years time I’ll just be leaving University so I’ll probably be exhausted and scared as Hell. Hopefully my boyfriend and I will still be together and we’ll be considering moving in together. I hope I’ll be working at a hospital helping to diagnose diseases and saving the World!
